Founded in 1997 at the University of St. La Salle-Bacolod, the Museo De La Salle-Bacolod is the region's only university museum. It originated by merging university research assets with diocesan artifacts from the Sacred Heart Seminary and Vega family heirlooms. Today, across seven permanent galleries and one changing space, it preserves Negros Occidental’s rich cultural heritage. Key highlights include: 17th-19th-Century Artifacts; Antique furniture and family altars from the sugar boom era; Global Textiles over 70 countries represented at the JGM Textile Arts Center and Sacred Art, rare antique ivory and wooden religious icons.
