The Cagayan Museum and Historical Research Center, established in 1973, is located at the corner of Otis and Aguinaldo Streets in Tuguegarao City, Cagayan. Since 2018, the museum has been housed inside the Casa Tribunal de Tuguegarao, a beautifully restored 1877 Spanish-era heritage building that once served as a courthouse and a provincial jail. As the central repository of Cagayano culture and history, it features a diverse collection of prehistoric fossils, stone tools, historical and ethnographic artifacts, colonial-era ecclesiastical art, and contemporary local artworks. It also integrates the Cagayan Archives and Research Center to serve scholars and historians. It also serves as a hub for the local creative sector by giving free space to artists, filmmakers, musicians, literary artists to showcase their works.
